New Power of Attorney Advice Clinic

Power of attorneys give people the opportunity to organise who will make decisions for them when they are no longer able to – they need to be put in place before clients lose their capacity to make decisions. This can bring great peace of mind to older community members.

In response to the demand from our community, in particular older members of our community.KLC, in partnership with Clayton Utz, has started up a free Power of Attorney clinic. The clinic offers three appointments every second Friday at Kingsford Legal Centre. For frail clients, we can also do home visits, or visits to nursing homes or hospitals for frail clients.

The clinic is free for people who live, work or study in the Randwick or Botany local government areas who earn less than $60,000 a year. If you would like an appointment to talk to a lawyer about making a power of attorney please ring Kingsford Legal Centre on 9385 9566.
