Keith Ball Appointed as Aboriginal Access Worker

On the 1st May, Kingsford Legal Centre appointed Keith Ball as its Aboriginal Access Worker to continue on with our Aboriginal Access Program. Keith is a Wadi Wadi man from the Wollongong/Illawarra region, but was raised in the inner city suburbs of Sydney all his life. Keith is available to contact at the centre on Mondays and Wednesdays ONLY but he also provides an outreach service at the La Perouse Aboriginal Community Health Centre, Yarra Bay every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month (except during school holidays), from 1pm to 3pm.  Keith’s main role is to increase the awareness of and access to legal services for the local Aboriginal community in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.  

Other areas of work our Aboriginal Access Worker will undertake, will be to organise and provide community legal education sessions of importance to the Aboriginal community and to consult with the community about areas of law reform that impact on them for KLC to assist in bringing about change of those laws.
