Employment Law
Kingsford Legal Centre provides free employment law advice to people earning under $60,000 who live, work or study in the Randwick and Botany areas. We provide a state-wide service for advice on discrimination matters. To see a solicitor at Kingsford Legal Centre you must call and make an appointment. Employment law appointments are available during the day as well as every second Thursday evening. We can arrange for a free interpreter if you would like one. Our employment law clinic can give you advice on:
- dismissals
- disciplinary action
- workplace health & safety
- underpayments & entitlements
- parental leave & returning to work
- harassment & bullying
- discrimination
We do not provide advice on Worker’s Compensation. We can give you a list of solicitors in the local area that may be able to give you advice about Worker’s Compensation. Many will see you at the first appointment for free. Law students from the University of New South Wales work in the employment law clinic as part of their law degree. Students working on employment matters are supervised by the employment law solicitor.
